PM Vishwakarma Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a new scheme named “PM Vishwakarm.” On Sunday morning at 11 am on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti.

On the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a new scheme named “PM Vishwakarma” at around 11 am. On Sunday morning at the India International Convention and Expo Center in Dwarka, New Delhi.

Apart from this, Yasho Bhoomi from Dwarka Sector-21 to Dwarka Sector- Will also inaugurate the expansion of Delhi Metro’s Airport Express Line by 25th.

Inauguration of Phase-1 of Modern Convention and Expo Center Yashobhoomi

 

Tomorrow, on September 17 at 11 am, I will inaugurate Phase-1 of Yashobhoomi, a state-of-the-art and modern convention and expo center in Dwarka, Delhi, he said in another post.

I am confident that it will be a very popular destination for conferences and meetings. It will attract delegates from all over the world.

The Prime Minister further said that you all will be happy to know that Yashobhoomi is also going to become synonymous with stability.

It has a modern waste water treatment system. Provisions for rain water harvesting and the complex has received platinum certification from the Indian Green Building Council.

A new metro station, ‘Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25’ will also be inaugurated, connecting this iconic landmark to the Delhi Metro airport.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana

The Prime Minister has continued to focus on providing support to people engaged in traditional crafts. This focus is not only on providing financial support to artisans and craftsmen.

But also driven by the desire to keep the age-old tradition, culture and diverse heritage alive and thriving through local products, arts and crafts.

Central government announces Rs 13,000 crore for PM Vishwakarma Yojana

PM Vishwakarma will be fully funded by the central government with an outlay of Rs 13,000 crore.

Under this scheme, free registration of Vishwakarmas will be done through Common Service Centers using biometric based PM Vishwakarma Portal.

They will also receive PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card, basic and advanced training related skill upgradation, toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000, collateral free loan up to Rs 1 lakh (1st installment) and Rs 2 lakh (2nd installment) at a concessional interest rate of 5 per cent.

Recognition will be provided through assistance, incentives for digital transactions and marketing assistance.

Objective of PM Vishwakarma Yojana

The objective of the scheme is to strengthen and nurture the family-based practice of traditional skills by Guru-Shishya Parampara or Vishwakarma working with their own hands and tools.

The main focus of PM Vishwakarma is to improve the accessibility as well as quality of products. And services of artisans and craftsmen. Ensure that they are integrated with domestic and global value chains.

Who will get the benefit in PM Vishwakarma Yojana?

The scheme will provide assistance to artisans. And craftsmen in rural and urban areas across India. Eighteen traditional crafts will be included under PM Vishwakarma.

These include (i) carpenter; (ii) boat builders; (iii) Armored; (iv) Blacksmith; (v) Hammer and tool kit manufacturers; (vi) Locksmith; (vii) Goldsmith; (viii) Potter; (ix) Sculptor, stone breaker; (x) Cobbler (shoe/shoe artisan); (xi) Mason; (xii) Basket/mat/broom makers/coir weavers; (xiii) Doll and toy makers (traditional); (xiv) Barber; (xv) Garland maker; (xvi) Washerman; (xvii) Tailor; and (xviii) includes fishing net makers.
