Raid on Azam Khan: Income Tax Department teams have simultaneously raided the premises of SP General Secretary Azam Khan in Rampur, Lucknow, Saharanpur, Ghaziabad and Meerut.

Income Tax Department teams conducted a massive raid on the premises of Samajwadi Party‘s national general secretary and former minister Azam Khan on Wednesday morning.
Apart from Azam’s residence and office in Rampur, raids have been conducted in Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Lucknow, Sitapur. This action is said to be regarding investigation of the accounts of Mohammad Ali Johar Trust.
SP leader Azam Khan has been continuously facing serious allegations of taking over people’s properties under the guise of Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust.
Cases of taking possession of government property through trust have also come to light. More than 90 cases are registered against Azam in various police stations.
