Hearing of different cases related to Kashi Gyanvapi is going on continuously in Varanasi District Court.

In this series, today i.e. on Wednesday, the Varanasi District Court has given a big decision regarding the regular worship in the basement of Somnath Vyas ji attached to the Gyanvapi complex.

The court has given the right to Hindus to worship in Vyas ji’s basement. In the matter of getting the right to worship worship in Gyanvapi in Vyas basement.

The Muslim side issued a statement saying that there is no mention of it in the ASI report. We will appeal against the decision in the High Court.

Mulayam government had stopped worship at Gyanvapi Mosque in 1993

The Hindu side said that till November 1993, Somnath Vyas ji’s family used to worship in that basement. Which was closed during the reign of the then Mulayam Singh Yadav government.

As per the Varanasi court order, Hindu devotees can now offer prayers/puja in ‘Vyas Ka Tahkhana’, a sealed area inside the Gyanvapi Mosque. ‘Vyas Ka Tahkhana’ is right in front of Nandi of the mosque.

Right to worship in Gyanvapi: Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain

Speaking to various journalists, lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain representing the Hindu side has given his reaction.

He said that “Hindu side has been allowed to pray in ‘Vyas Ka Tahkhana’. The district administration will have to make arrangements within seven days. Now everyone will have the right to worship.”

Hindu side’s lawyer Madan Mohan Yadav confirmed this while talking to ‘PTI’ and said. The court of District Judge Ajay Krishna Vishwesh has given the right to perform puja in the basement to Vyas ji’s grandson Shailendra Pathak.

He told that the administration will make arrangements to conduct the puja within seven days. Kashi Vishwanath Trust will do the work of conducting the puja.

Hindu had asked for the right to worship in 2021

The Hindu side had filed a case in the Varanasi court in 2021 demanding the right to uninterrupted worship at the Maa Shringaar Gauri site. However, the Anjuman Arrangements Mosque Committee.

In its reply, denied that the mosque was built over a temple. He said that the structure at that location was always a mosque. But the court proved that this is not true.

Muslim side ready to challenge the decision

Muslim parties are angry over Varanasi Court granting ‘right of worship in Gyanvapi’. The Muslim side said that it will appeal against the court’s decision in the High Court.
